On November 13, in the group Phi-17-3p1 of the Department of English Linguistics of the Faculty of Philology, an open curatorial hour was held on a very relevant topic: “Smartphones and Health”. The students reacted with great responsibility to the event, preparing a large and interesting program. There was a lot of visual material, a presentation, a video about the dangers of dependence on smartphones and all other gadgets, a crossword puzzle, a psychological test, and a game in which each student expressed his opinion about the benefits and dangers of smartphones by throwing colored candy balls into cups with the corresponding names. I would particularly like to mention such active students as Diana Janzakova, Lydia Glyanko, Arthur Osmanov, Diana Galustyan. The curator hour was very interesting, in one breath, and was effective, since each student came out with the consciousness of how to properly use these smart, but far from harmless devices.
