As part of the Francophone Spring holiday, under the auspices of the Embassy of France in the Republic of Kazakhstan, the French Alliance in Shymkent on March 25 held a competition of French cuisine. It was attended by students of the Department of Modern Languages and Translation Studies of the Faculty of Philology of our university, Miras University, students of gymnasium No. 20, students of the French Alliance in Shymkent, as well as lovers of the French language of our city.
The competition was held in the cafe 19.06, which is located in a favorite place of rest of the townspeople - on the Arbat.
The competition was judged by a representative jury, which included the chef of the cafe Faritov Aibek, the manager Bukharbayeva Aktolkyn and Kim Hoang, a Frenchman who previously lived in France and now in Switzerland, a person with an amazing biography, engineer, entrepreneur, traveler, researcher, and, means that he has seen a lot in his lifetime. In a word, it was not an easy task to participate and win in this competition. Nominations were awarded in three categories: entrée (salads, appetizers), plats (hot dishes), desserts (dessert).
It is gratifying to note that our students were recognized as the best in all three nominations: Andarkulova Akmarzhan, Shakarova Ozoda (group PHI-19 3 р2) for «Lyonnaise» salad, Aldiyar Leyla (gr PHI-20 7р) for cakes "Éclair" and Zholdybay Zhanar (gr FI-19 3k4) for the «Ratatouille» dish.
At the end of the competition, the jury warmly congratulated everyone for their active participation. The competition ended with a tasting of delicious French cuisine by all those present.
