On March 30, 2013, the semifinal of the French song contest in the framework of the Francophone Spring Festival, organized by the Embassies of the Francophone countries (France, Switzerland, Belgium, Canada) took place in the main hall. From the Faculty of Philology (Department of English Linguistics) 3 students of 2 courses took part in the francophone category: Kenenbaeva Asel, Amzeeva Gulnur (born FI-16 3p1), Ismailbek Makpal (FI-16 3k4). The contest was very interesting. In a tense struggle among 11 contestants, our Gulnur Amzeeva won the 3rd place and got a ticket to participate in the final of the republican contest, which will be held on April 12. We wish her success! The motivation of the contest participants is very good: the winner of the republican competition receives a grant for a free trip and a week stay in France at the expense of the Embassy of France.
